ECUADOR is a South-American country, blessed with several microclimates, which host thousands of unique species and varieties of flora and fauna. Among those species, is the “Musa Paradisiaca” commonly known as “garrabanete plantain” by the locals, and it is widely used in local gastronomy because of its versatility, as it can be prepared in several methods, either as a green plantain (Verde), or as a ripe plantain (Maduro), where it adopts an intense and delicious natural sweetnes.We, at PORTO’S recognize this unique value, as we focus in recovering and sharing the traditional heritage of the fields and farms of Ecuador’s many regions.
