It was around 7:00pm, on April 16, 2016, when the worst tragedy in Ecuador’s modern history shook the entire country. A massive 7.8 earthquake struck from the north, ravaging everything in its wake. Buildings crumbled, streets cracked open, and thousands of lives were lost in darkness.

It was a tough morning, the following day. Entire towns reduced to rubble and countless lives ruined, or changed forever. It was after witnessing this devastation that we also changed.

While helping in the rebuilding efforts, we looked for a way to help and empower people, to create new jobs that would benefit everyone around us. The solution would eventually come to us in an unexpected way.
